After 2 years of dreaming and planning, reality is starting to sink in. In less than 3 weeks (17 days as Heather would say...) we will be getting on a plane and heading to the opposite side of the world. 24 hours and a 13 hour time change later, we will arrive in the Philippines.
While we are in the Philippines we will be working with Pastor Leo and Elma Ordiales at Grace Christian Community School of Pasay. We hope to introduce some new teaching strategies to the teachers there to help them break away from the lecture based strategies.
We also are looking forward to forming relationships with the teachers and students at the school. We will be helping out with a 2 day camp that the 5th and 6th grade students will go on.
As our trip is getting closer, we have been busy getting all the correct shots, collecting all our supplies, and wondering how in the world we will be able to pack everything into our suitcases, we covet your thoughts and prayers. Not only for our health and safety, but also that God can use us to bless the people we build relationships with while we are there.
We hope to keep you updated with stories and pictures as we are there.
