Today we were able to make a visit to each of the classrooms from preschool to grade 4. It was fun to meet more of the students and get to experience a variety of classrooms and teaching styles. The students are all reviewing for their 3rd quarter examinations that will start on Thursday, so we got to play several review games with them.
Many of the classes performed song and dances for us. In Teacher Fely's class they even tried to teach us how to dance--I'm not sure at how successful they were--but it was a lot of fun! Many of the kids were very interested in finding out more about us. They asked us many questions and when time allowed we were also able to ask them some questions about themselves.
We spent the rest of the afternoon at our local hangout...also known as the stage by the playground. The students all gather there after school to play with us, it is a great opportunity to get to know the students.
For dinner we were able to host the four children of a family that Maria has been in correspondence with for the past six years. Although it tested our cooking skills, we believe it turned out successful and we were glad to get the chance to know them in person.
We just finished preparing for our chapel speech for tomorrow. We will be speaking on being good examples and choosing words carefully. Please pray that God will give us the words to speak to their hearts tomorrow.
